On 22 Jan 2020, The Minister of Industry and Trade promulgates the Circular no. 02/2020/TT-BCT prescribing the principles of regulating the import according to the tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs in 2020. This Circular takes effect from February 29, 2020 to the end of December 31, 2020

Principles of assignment of import duty quotas
The assignment of import quotas of salt and poultry eggs shall comply with the provisions of Circular No. 12/2018 / TT-BCT of June 15, 2018 of the Minister of Industry and Trade detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management and Decree No. 69/2018 / ND-CP dated May 15, 2018 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management.
Subjects of assignment of import duty quotas
1. Imported salt quotas are assigned to traders to directly use as raw materials for chemical production and as raw materials for production of medicines and medical products.
2. Import quota for poultry eggs shall be assigned to traders who have a business registration certificate / enterprise registration certificate wishing to import.
Time of assignment of import duty quotas
The Ministry of Industry and Trade shall consult with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Finance to determine the time for salt import quota allocation.
This Circular takes effect from February 29, 2020 to the end of December 31, 2020.
