on 15 April 2020, Drug Administration issued letter no. 4162 / QLD-KD on suspending the export of drugs for the prevention of covid 19. Details are as below:
In furtherance of the Prime Minister’s direction in Directive No. 15 / CT-TTg of March 27, 2020 on drastically implementing the peak phase of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, which requires: “Ministries and branches , localities have fully equipped manpower, equipment, medicines, medical supplies and disease prevention and fighting plans, including the mobilization of facilities of organizations and enterprises, ensuring hunting wide response to epidemics; ” and Document No. 153 / TB-VPCP dated April 10, 2020 of the Office of the Government announcing the conclusion of the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Government Standing Committee on COVID-19 prevention and control in which Ministry of Health: “For the time being, suspend the export of drugs used in the treatment of COVID19″.
In order to ensure the supply and reserve of preventive and curative medicines for people, the Drug Administration of Vietnam requires drug manufacturers, exporters and importers to suspend the export of drugs according to the List of drugs used in the Article. COVID-19 treatment issued together with this Official Letter from April 16, 2020 until there is a new notice from the Drug Administration of Vietnam.
The list of drugs used in the treatment of COVID-19 issued with this Official Dispatch was built on the basis of the Minister of Health’s Decision No. 941 / QD-BYT of March 17, 2020 promulgating the List. equipment, consumable supplies and essential drugs of 01 Covid-19 patient isolation area and the Minister of Health’s Decision No. 1344 / QD-BYT dated March 25, 2020 promulgating Diagnosis and treatment of acute respiratory infections caused by SARS – CoV -2 (COVID-19). Drug Administration of Vietnam notifies the units to know and strictly implement.
